Abercrombie & Fitch is a clothing American retailer that comprise five brands: Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie Kids, Hollister Co., RUEHL No.925 e Gilly Hicks. Founded in 1892 by David T. Abercrombie as a company for sport and excursion dress and in 1988 it was acquired by The Limited, a clothing-chain operator, and today sell luxury casual clothing. David Abercrombie loved to stay outdoors and this love inspired him to open the first shop that sale only the highest-quality camping, fishing and hunting gear.
During the first half of the 20th century Abercrombie & Fitch was the most important brand for America's sporting elite, outfitting big-game hunters, fishermen, and other adventurers. It also carried a variety of outdoor clothing, boots, and shoes for both men and women and cameras, pocket cutlery, and indoor games.
