Brooksfield is a label, property of Mistral group, founded in 1971 in Turin. At the beginning the company manufactures only men's trousers. In few years the sales increase rapidly in whole North Italy. So the decision to give a start of the production of women's trousers is taken. After then years of existence the Mistral company registers considerable increase of the incomes, sales and clients, so that Brookfield becomes its main activity. The 1985 is the year when the first complete women's collection is born. In the 1990s Brooksfield starts its worldwide expansion. In 1992 the label figures at the Whitbread Round The World Race (Volvo Ocean Race) which together with America's Cup are the two biggest and most famous regattas in the world. In the 1993 Brooksfield enters in the cosmetics branch. Three years later the next steps is to insert clothing line for children - Brooksfield Junior. In the next years new lines are added to the Brooksfield label: Brookfield Jeans, Brookfield Golf (sportswear collection), eyewear collection, shoes collection and leather goods collection. In 2009 the collaboration between Brooksfield and the artist Ugo Nespolo is started. The distinguishing symbol of the Brooksfield name is the "Mallard", which symbolizes the personalized commitment to the development of a style, based solely on reliable instinct.
