Lacoste is a fashion house founded in 1933 by René Lacoste and his friend André Gillier and today it is known all over the world for tennis shirts recognized by its green crocodile logo.
In 1933 La Chemise Lacoste (the first name of brand) made its tennis white shirt and only twenty years later it introduced color shirts.
The story began with the idea to create a sport garment comfortable and fuctional for tennis players and René Lacoste considered two pieces of clothing: the shirt and T-shirt (which was worn only as underwear). By the mix of these two clothes born the famous polo that keep the comfort of a T-Shirt with short-sleeved and the elegance of a shirt.
Today the brand Lacoste is famous not only for T-shirt but also for perfume, shoes, bags, eyewear and accessories.
There are many variations of the Lacoste label, with combinations of Lacoste, Izod, Haymaker and David Crystal names.
