| Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier born in Paris, France. He began his career at the age of 18 working for Pierre Cardin fashion house, and in 1975 he presented his first collection drew on the street scenes of London and Paris. He was funky, playful and extraordinary, moreover he met with much critical acclaim. After twenty years he obtained the funding necessary to realize his life's dream of launching his own couture collection. His line collections are based on street wear, popularising the use of skirt, especially kilts on men's wardrobe. Jean Paul Gaultier is also called the "enfant terrible" of the fashion world because he love caused shock by using using unconventional models for his exhibitions, like old and fat women, pierced and heavy tattooed models. Today, the Gaultier label includes fragrance, menswear, accessories, cosmetics, ready-to-wear, and, of course, haute couture. Among other things, he has designed bread, furniture, and wine bottles.
